Metro: Police investigating Landover touching incident

A woman was “verbally harassed and touched inappropriately” by a juvenile Thursday night while near the Landover station parking lot, Metro officials said.

About 10:15 pm the woman was exiting the Metro parking lot on foot when a juvenile followed her a short distance and verbally harrassed her, said Dan Stessel, a Metro spokesman. The young man touched her inappropriately on her body, he said.

The woman ran and contacted Metro Transit Police, who arrested the juvenile, Stessel said. The suspect was charged with fourth-degree sexual offense, Stessel said.
