Metro seeks advisory council members

Want to have a direct impact on service at Metro? The Riders’ Advisory Council has six vacancies.

The council, created in 2005, has 21 members from throughout the region who advise the board of directors on Metrobus, Metrorail and MetroAccess. The positions are unpaid and members can’t be employees or contractors who work for Metro or be elected officials.

The vacancies are:
• One for Arlington County
• One at-large. The member can be from any area served by Metro.
• Two for the District
• Two for Prince George's County

An online form is available on Metro's Web site or you may complete a form and mail it in.

The council meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Metro headquarters, 600 Fifth St. NW, Washington DC.
