Monitoring a slightly cooler Wednesday A.M. commute

8:30 A.M. Update:

The accident on the westbound Suitland Parkway at Branch Avenue is now just blocking the right shoulder. The right lane has reopened.

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue is blocking one of the outer loop lanes and one of the shoulders.

8:25 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Baltimore Avenue/U.S. 1 has been cleared.

8:05 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on the outer loopo of the Beltway at Arlington Boulevard has been cleared from the shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Baltimore Avenue/U.S. 1 could cause delays there, but no lane closures have been reported yet.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on the westbound Suitland Parkway at Branch Avenue is still blocking the right lane and right shoulder. We’ve also heard reports of heavy traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue SE heading into Maryland, which could be related, so watch for delays on that road.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loopo of the Beltway at Arlington Boulevard is blocking the right shoulder.

7:25 A.M. Update:

An accident on the westbound Suitland Parkway at Branch Avenue is blocking the right lane. The left lan remains open. Expect heavy delays.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-270 South at Quince Orchard Road has been cleared.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Edsall Road is blocking the right shoulder.

7 A.M. Update:

A utility problem on southbound Connecticut Avenue at the Beltway could cause delays there.

An accident on I-270 South at Quince Orchard Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

6:35 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is starting to see serious congestion around Sudley Road.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Dulles Toll Road has been cleared.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

After several hot days and a very rainy Tuesday evening, the weather should improve on Wednesday, according to the Capital Weather Gang. There could be a shower this morning, but it’s less scorching out there.

So far:

— MARC Brunswick Line train 870 is running 10 to 12 minutes late due to a crew issue.

— An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the right shoulder.
