Monitoring the A.M. commute: Accident slowing inbound N.Y. Ave.

9:30 a.m. Update | Leesburg Pike lanes reopen

The accident on Leesburg Pike at Washington Drive has been cleared and the westbound lanes reopened.

The earlier crash on University Boulevard and Dennis Avenue in Silver Spring is still blocking one westbound lane on University Boulevard.

9:25 a.m. Update | Accidents in NW and NE D.C.

An accident on inbound/westbound New York Avenue is blocking the right lane at South Dakota Avenue NE. Expect delays.

An accident on Massachusetts Avenue and California Street NW could create problems there.

9 a.m. Update | Accident in NW D.C. cleared

The accident at 9th Street and Constitution Avenue NW has been cleared, according to D.C. police.

8:55 a.m. Update | MARC Camden Line issues

MARC Camden Line train 849 is stopped at College Park w/mechanical issues. All riders are off the train and will switch to Metro, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

8:40 a.m. Update | Leesburg Pike lanes still blocked

The accident on Leesburg Pike at Washington Drive is now blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Duke Street is blocking the right shoulder.

8:33 a.m. Update | MARC delays

MARC train 849 is stopped at College Park with mechanical issues.

8:30 a.m. Update | Green Line single-tracking cleared

The single-tracking has been lifted on the Green Line, but expect delays to linger in both directions.

The curb lane on southbound Connecticut Avenue is blocked at Leroy Place NW after a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The man, an adult, is conscious, according to police.

8:25 a.m. Update | Crash still blocking Leesburg Pike lanes

The accident on Leesburg Pike at Washington Drive is still blocking the westbound right two lanes and right shoulder.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway after Georgia Avenue has been cleared from the road.

8:15 a.m. Update | Green Line single-tracking will lead to delays

Expect delays on the Green Line this morning: Trains are single-tracking between Anacostia and Navy Yard due to a disabled train at Anacostia.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway after Georgia Avenue could slow traffic approaching that spot.

8:05 a.m. Update | Green Line issues

A Green Line train heading for Greenbelt is off-loading at Anacostia, so watch for crowding at Anacostia and some delays on the Green Line.

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway before the G.W. Parkway is blocking the right shoulder.

7:45 a.m. Update | Accident on Leesburg Pike

An accident on Leesburg Pike at Washington Drive is blocking the westbound right two lanes and right shoulder.

7:35 a.m. Update | Crash cleared from I-95 North in Md.

The accident on I-95 North at Powder Mill Road has been cleared.

7:25 a.m. Update | No delays reported for commuter trains

There are no delays reported for Metro, MARC or VRE trains right now.

7:20 a.m. Update | Crashes on I-95 North in Md., inner loop in Va.

An accident on I-95 North at Powder Mill Road could create delays there.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road is blocking the left shoulder.

7:05 a.m. Update | University Blvd. lane still blocked

The crash on University Boulevard and Dennis Avenue in Silver Spring is still blocking one westbound lane on University Boulevard.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East at Nutley Street is blocking the right shoulder.

6:45 a.m. Update | Disabled vehicle cleared from U.S. 50

The disabled vehicle on westbound U.S. 50 at MD-295/B.W. Parkway has been cleared from the shoulder.

6:35 a.m. Update | Disabled vehicle on U.S. 50 near 295

There is a disabled vehicle on westbound U.S. 50 at MD-295/B.W. Parkway, but it has been cleared from the road and is now blocking one of the westbound shoulders.

6:15 a.m. Update | Bethesda escalators working again

Metro reports that the Bethesda station’s escalators are working again.

6:12 a.m. Update | Disabled vehicle cleared

The disabled vehicle on I-66 West near Nutley Street has been cleared from the shoulder.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help.

The Thursday forecast calls for some patchy fog in the morning and even potentially a few showers during the rush hour, according to the Capital Weather Gang. And there could also be some storms later in the day, so don’t forget your umbrella.

So far this morning:

— The entrance escalators at the Bethesda Metro station are all out of service due to a mechanical issue. The station is still open and buses have been requested.

— A crash at University Boulevard and Dennis Avenue in Silver Spring was blocking University Boulevard earlier this morning. The eastbound lanes are all open again and one of the westbound lanes is open, with one westbound lane still closed.

— A disabled vehicle on I-66 West near Nutley Street is blocking the right shoulder.

— An accident on westbound U.S. 50 near Frederick Road is blocking the left outside lane and left center lane.
