Orange Line delayed

8:45 A.M. Update:

Orange Line delays persist for trains bound for New Carrollton. If you’re heading that way, expect to encounter congestion.

8:30 A.M. Update:

Orange Line delays are lingering for trains heading to New Carrollton. The earlier disabled train has been moved.

The earlier road closure on Rhode Island Avenue NE has been cleared. The 1000, 1100 and 1200 blocks are all open and moving.

There’s a report of a vehicle crashing into a house at 33rd and P streets NW. Watch for delays there.

8:15 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Central Avenue has been cleared and the lanes reopened. Watch for residual delays.

8:12 A.M. Update:

Expect Orange Line delays heading to New Carrollton due to a disabled train at Ballston.

8 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Central Avenue is blocking two inner loop lanes, the right acceleration lane and one of the shoulders. Expect heavy delays.

7:40 A.M. Update:

The 1300 block of Alabama Avenue SE has reopened, according to police.

No word yet on the 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE, which might still be closed by police activity.

7:25 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-66 East at the Beltway has been cleared. The right lane and right shoulder of the ramp to the outer loop of the Beltway have reopened.

7:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Leesburg Pike is blocking the left shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on I-395’s reversible lanes at Glebe Road is blocking the right shoulder.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-66 East at the Beltway is still blocking the right lane and right shoulder of the ramp to the outer loop of the Beltway.

7:05 A.M. Update:

There were apparently some problems on the Blue Line near the Van Dorn Street station, but Metro reports that they have been resolved.

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue has been cleared.

6:45 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Edsall Road has been cleared from the right shoulder.

6:30 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Edsall Road is blocking the right shoulder.

6:20 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Edsall Road could create delays there. It’s unclear if the vehicle is in the road or on the shoulder right now.

The accident on I-66 East at the Beltway is blocking the right lane and right shoulder of the ramp to the outer loop of the Beltway.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help.

Friday is going to be sunny and warm, with potential showers later in the day, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

So far:

— The 1300 block of Alabama Avenue SE is closed in both directions due to fire department activity. Watch for potential delays on Metrobuses on the 92, 93, W2, W3 and W4 routes.

— The 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE is blocked in both directions due to police activity.

— An accident on I-66 East at the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder.

— An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue could cause some delays. No lane closures are reported right now.
