I-395 North snarled in VA

8:35 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is still packed and slow, with congestion stretching from the 14th Street Bridge to the Springfield Interchange. Again, expect significant delays if you’re heading that way.

Eastbound I-66 is crawling at the Beltway and approaching George Mason Drive.

The outer loop of the Beltway is also slow near Van Dorn Street.

The Douglass Bridge in Southeast Washington is also very slow right now.

8:20 A.M. Update:

Eastbound I-66 is backed up at the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge heading into Washington.

There’s some debris on the inner loop of the Beltway before Annapolis Road, which could slow traffic there.

8:10 A.M. Update:

Arlington Transit routes 41, 62 and 77 are being detoured due to police activity at a county building. They will be picking up and dropping off at the CVS on Wilson Boulevard. Expect delays.

8 A.M. Update:

Traffic is very slow on the Douglass Bridge in Southeast Washington right now. Cars are moving, but it’s very congested, so expect to encounter some delays there.

The inner loop of the Beltway is fairly backed up between the Springfield Interchange and I-66.

7:40 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is very, very jammed up right now, with delays stretching back from the 14th Street Bridge to the Springfield Interchange. Traffic is barely crawling along, so you should avoid that route or expect a very slow commute this morning.

7:30 A.M. Update:

The outer loop accident at Georgia Avenue has been cleared and the shoulder reopened.

There’s a lot of congestion in Northern Virginia right now. Eastbound I-66 is still very backed up around Chain Bridge Road. The inner loop of the Beltway is slow approaching Gallows Road. And there are also some delays on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard and Seminary Road.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The outer loop accident at Georgia Avenue is blocking one of the shoulders.

6:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before Georgia Avenue could snarl traffic.

There is pretty heavy congestion on I-95 North in Lorton right now.

6:25 A.M. Update:

There’s some congestion on eastbound I-66 at Chain Bridge Road and again approaching North George Mason Drive.
