Outer loop backed up at Telegraph Rd.

8:40 A.M. Update:

Heavy delays remain on the outer loop of the Beltway approaching Telegraph Road due to the earlier lane closure. The lane is open again, but severe congestion remains.

Watch out for delays caused by an accident on 26th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest Washington.

8:15 A.M. Update:

An accident at 14th Street and Independence Avenue in Southwest Washington could cause serious traffic problems there.

Traffic signals are also reportedly flashing at Tenley Circle in Northwest Washington. Use caution approaching the circle.

8 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Telegraph Road has been cleared and the lane reopened, but you can expect heavy delays to remain for a while.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing at 34th Street and Wisconsin Avenue and at 1st and Irving streets in Northwest Washington.

An accident on 22nd and O streets in Northwest Washington could cause serious headaches there, so avoid that area.

There is also an accident at 34th and M streets in Northwest.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Telegraph Road is still blocking the left lane. There are very significant delays on the outer loop approaching this area, so try to avoid taking it if you can help it.

7:35 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Telegraph Road is still blocking the left lane and causing congestion approaching that spot.

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Georgia Avenue has been cleared.

7:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

There’s an accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Georgia Avenue, so expect delays around there.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road could cause problems in the area.

6:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Telegraph Road is blocking the left lane.

The accident on I-270 South at Park Mills Road has been cleared and all the lanes reopened.

6:30 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-270 South at Park Mills Road is blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.

6:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-270 South at Park Mills Road could slow traffic there.

Good morning, commuters! September ends with some nice temperatures and only a slim chance of any rain, according to the Capital Weather Gang.
