Monitoring the A.M. commute: MARC delays, outer loop lanes blocked in MD

8:30 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway west of Connecticut Avenue is still blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders.

The accident on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard is still blocking the right lane and right shoulder. The right lane of the ramp from U.S. 1 to I-395 North is also blocked.

The accident on the Dulles Toll Road at Trap Road continues to block the left two lanes. Expect major delays.

8:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway west of Connecticut Avenue is blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders.

An accident on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

The accident on the Dulles Toll Road at Trap Road is blocking the left two lanes and causing delays back to Hunter Mill Road.

The earlier accident on the inner loop of the Beltway near the Springfield Interchange is now only blocking just the right lane.

8:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway near the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right outside lane and right shoulder.

7:55 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge has been cleared from the shoulder.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge has been moved to the shoulder. All regular traffic lanes are open.

A reader reports an accident on eastbound Dulles Toll Road/VA 267 near Wolf Trap, so watch out for issues heading that way.

7:30 A.M. Update:

Once again, MARC Brunswick Line riders should expect delays this morning. Trains will run at least 8 to 10 minutes late because they have to run at restricted speeds through areas with track work.

The accident on eastbound I-66 at Nutley Street has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

7:25 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge is blocking the right lane and right shoulder. Traffic is moving very slowly as you approach this spot.

7:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge is blocking the left lane, right lane and both shoulders. Traffic is still moving, but it’s very, very slow through this stretch.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge is blocking both shoulders, so expect some delays approaching that spot.

All ART buses on route 42 are running 15 minutes behind schedule.

6:40 A.M. Update:

An accident on eastbound I-66 at Nutley Street is blocking the right lane and entrance ramp.

6:20 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is very congested leading to the Springfield Interchange.

The earlier disabled vehicle on I-95 North in Lorton has been cleared from the right shoulder.

The warmth of the last two days is missing today, replaced by cooler air and potential rain, according to the Capital Weather Gang. The cloudy beginning of the day could bring mid-morning showers.

So far:

— A disabled vehicle on I-95 North in Lorton is blocking the right shoulder.
