An accident on I-95 South at the Sandy Spring Road exit is blocking one right off-ramp and one of the left merge lanes.
The accident on southbound B.W. Parkway/MD 295 at Laurel Bowie Road is still blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.
There’s a disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road. It’s blocking the right shoulder.
8:10 A.M. Update:
An accident on southbound B.W. Parkway/MD 295 at Laurel Bowie Road is blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.
Traffic is moving slowly on southbound I-295 near the 11th Street Bridge.
7:50 A.M. Update:
The accident in the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue NW isn’t blocking any lanes, but you should still avoid that area if possible. Emergency vehicles are on the scene, which cause delays due to drivers trying to see what’s happening.
7:35 A.M. Update:
The disabled vehicle on I-270 South before Falls Road has been cleared and the lane reopened.
Some debris on the inner loop of the Beltway near the Annapolis Road exit could cause delays there.
7:30 A.M. Update:
There’s a three-vehicle accident in the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue NW, according to D.C. police. Expect delays in that vicinity.
7:20 A.M. Update:
A disabled vehicle on I-270 South before Falls Road is blocking one southbound lane.
7:10 A.M. Update:
An accident on Bladensburg Road and South Dakota Avenue in Northeast Washington could snarl traffic there. No lanes are closed, but emergency equipment is on the scene, according to D.C. police.
7 A.M. Update:
Eastbound I-66 is pretty backed up at Chain Bridge Road right now. There’s an accident on I-66 East before that spot, blocking the left shoulder a few exits before Chain Bridge Road, but the backups are just general morning congestion.
6:40 A.M. Update:
The D.C. Fire Department is responding to a fire in the 1300 block of Rittenhouse Street NW. The 1300 block is closed in both directions, and even though the D.C. police say this won’t impact traffic, you should avoid the immediate area.
6:20 A.M. Update:
An accident on I-395 North at King Street is blocking the right shoulder. Traffic is slowing before this spot.
Good morning, commuters! We’re back to a colder, breezier day after warmer temperatures yesterday, according to the Capital Weather Gang. There could be an early morning shower southeast of Washington, while strong winds should be an issue for much of the day.
