Outer loop lane blocked in MD; accident blocking WB Dulles Access Rd.

9 A.M. Update:

The westbound Dulles Access Road remains closed due to the earlier accident. The toll road is open, but there could be some delays due to additional traffic.

The accident involving a tractor trailer on I-95 South at the Prince William Parkway has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Boulevard is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

An accident in the 1200 block of H Street NW is snarling traffic in that area.

8:45 A.M. Update:

The westbound Dulles Access Road remains closed due to the earlier accident. Expect heavy delays on the Dulles Toll Road as traffic is detoured that way.

An accident involving a tractor trailer on I-95 South at the Prince William Parkway is blocking the right shoulder and exit ramp.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Boulevard could cause delays. No lane closures have been reported yet, but keep this in mind if you’re heading that way.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The latest on the accident on the Dulles Access Road: The westbound access road remains blocked. There’s no access to the access road from the Beltway, but detours are in place. The roll road is completely open, but expect heavy, heavy delays there.

NBC Washington reports that one person died due to the fatal crash, a single-vehicle accident that took place at around 7 a.m.. Two other people have been taken to an area hospital, but any injuries are unknown, according to NBC.

8 A.M. Update:

There was an accident involving a school bus at Bladensburg Road and South Dakota Avenue NE, but there were no injuries and no lanes are closed, according to D.C. police.

The accident on I-270 South at W. Diamond Avenue has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

7:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-270 South at W. Diamond Avenue is blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on the Dulles Access Road after Leesburg Pike is blocking the westbound lanes. Traffic is also being diverted onto the toll road, but the westbound left lane is also blocked on the toll road near the Wolf Trap overpass.

This accident is also causing delays for Fairfax Connector buses coming from West Falls Church, so watch out for that.

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Ritchie Marlboro Road has been cleared and all lanes opened, but there are still heavy delays in place.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East at the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder.

An accident on I-270 South at W. Diamond Avenue could cause issues for southbound traffic.

7:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Ritchie Marlboro Road is blocking the two left lanes and the shoulder. Delays begin after the Pennsylvania Avenue exit.

7 A.M. Update:

Police activity on 19th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW could cause delays for southbound S1 buses, northbound 11Y buses and eastbound buses on routes 3Y and 16Y.

An accident is blocking Brandywine Road/Aquasco Road in both directions at Orme Road in Aquasco.

6:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway near the Springfield Interchange has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

6:30 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway near the Springfield Interchange is blocking the left three lanes. Expect major delays.

The disabled vehicle on I-395 North at King Street has been cleared from the right shoulder.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

There will be some morning fog, which could cause visibility issues for drivers, but that will disappear quickly, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

So far:

— A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at King Street is blocking the right shoulder.

— Metrobuses on the 80 and S1 routes could see delays due to police activity on 19th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, according to Metro.
