9 A.M. Update:
An accident on the eastbound Southeast-Southwest Freeway before the Third Street Tunnel is blocking the right lane, according to the D.C. police.
Telegraph Road remains closed in both directions between Wilton Road and Sharon Chapel Road due to a water main break. This is just south of Franconia Road and the Beltway. Avoid the area.
8:50 A.M. Update:
An accident on I-95 South at Powder Mill Road is blocking one of the shoulders.
8:30 A.M. Update:
There are delays on the Orange Line in both directions between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton due to the earlier sick rider and a separate door problem.
8:25 A.M. Update:
An Orange Line train heading for New Carrollton off-loaded at Eastern Market due to a door problem, creating some delays for Orange and Blue line trains heading that way. This train is moving after the earlier door problems, but there could be a gap for trains between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton.
There was also a report of a sick customer on an Orange Line train at Federal Center heading to Vienna. This train is on the move now after the sick customer was taken off the train.
8:02 A.M. Update:
That was quick: The left lane has reopened on outbound New York Avenue, per D.C. police.
8 A.M. Update:
The left lane is blocked by a disabled vehicle on outbound New York Avenue at South Dakota Avenue, according to police.
7:55 A.M. Update:
Two Fairfax Connector routes are experiencing detours due to the water main break on Telegraph Road.
Buses on westbound route 109 and westbound route 301 will head right from Telgraph Road onto Franconia Road, left onto Wilton Road, right to get back onto Telegraph Road and continue on to the Van Dorn Street Metro station.
Buses on eastbound route 109 and eastbound route 301 will go from Telegraph Road, turn left on Wilton Road, right on Franconia Road and left back onto Telegraph Road en route to the Huntington Metro.
7:50 A.M. Update:
An accident has also been reported on outbound New York Avenue at South Dakota Avenue, which will likely cause problems for outbound traffic.
7:45 A.M. Update:
An accident has been reported at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, but no lane closures have been reported, according to the D.C. police. Watch for potential delays.
7:30 A.M. Update:
The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Georgia Avenue has been cleared and the right off-ramp lane reopened.
7:10 A.M. Update:
Telegraph Road is closed in both directions between Wilton Road and Sharon Chapel Road in Rose Hill, just south of Franconia Road and the Beltway. This is due to a water main break, and the road will likely remain closed throughout the morning commute. Avoid the area.

7:05 A.M. Update:
The Maryland Transit Administration reports that the track work near Union Station has been completed, so MARC trains on the Penn Line shouldn’t experience any additional delays there.

6:50 A.M. Update:
I-66 East is jammed up at Nutley Street right now.
An earlier accident on Massaschusetts Avenue at Idaho Avenue NW has been cleared and all lanes reopened; delays have largely cleared up.
6:30 A.M. Update:
MARC trains on the Penn Line heading in and out of Union Station could be delayed between 5 and 15 minutes this morning. So expect delays if you’re heading to or from Washington on this line.
