Inner loop slow approaching Telegraph Rd., McLean

10 A.M. Update:

All of the local lanes of the inner loop at Telegraph Road have reopened.

9:15 A.M. Update:

The accident on the inner loop at Telegraph Road continues to block one of the local lanes. The through lanes are moving, but traffic continues to be very slow approaching this area.

An accident involving a tractor trailer continues to block the left lane of the ramp from I-66 East to the inner loop of the Beltway.

The inner loop of the Beltway remains jammed up approaching McLean, where an accident blocked two lanes for a spell earlier Monday morning.

Metrobus riders, take note: Metro altered dozens of routes, putting numerous changes and schedule adjustments into effect on Sunday. You can read the list of changes here.

8:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on 12th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue N.W. could slow traffic. Try using Constitution Avenue or 14th Street.

An accident involving a tractor trailer is blocking the left lane of the ramp from I-66 East to the inner loop of the Beltway.

8:40 A.M. Update:

An accident at 13th and Rittenhouse streets in Northwest Washington is going to cause dealays. Try using Georgia Avenue or 14th Street instead.

The accident on the inner loop at Telegraph Road continues to block one of the local lanes. The through lanes are still moving, but traffic is very slow approaching this area.

8:20 A.M. Update:

An accident at Tilden and Shoemaker streets in Northwest Washington could cause delays there, according to D.C. police.

8:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on the inner loop at Telegraph Road continues to block the local lanes. The through lanes are still moving.

The accident on I-395 North at Edsall Road has been cleared from the right lane and is only blocking the right shoulder now.

The inner loop lanes have reopened at Chain Bridge Road, but there are still big, big delays approaching McLean.

7:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Telegraph Road is blocking the local lanes; the through lanes are moving.

An accident on I-395 North at Edsall Road is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on 16th Street and Park Road in Northwest Washington could cause serious delays. Head to 14th Street if you’d regularly use 16th Street.

7:35 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge has been cleared from the shoulder. I-95 North is still slow approaching this spot.

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road is blocking the right shoulder.

An accident on the ramp from southbound Kenilworth Avenue to Eastern Avenue NE has been cleared, but delays could linger.

7:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North right after the 14th Street Bridge is causing delays, according to D.C. police. Avoid that route.

Normal service has resumed on the Blue and Yellow lines, per Metro.

6:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Chain Bridge Road is blocking the left two lanes. Expect delays as you approach McLean.

6:50 A.M. Update:

Delays continue on the Blue and Yellow lines due to the earlier train malfunction outside of the Van Dorn Street station.

6:35 A.M. Update:

Blue and Yellow Line trains are single-tracking between Braddock Road and Van Dorn Street due to a disabled train outside of the Van Dorn Street station. Expect delays both directions.

6:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 North in Woodbridge is blocking the right shoulder. Traffic is pretty slow approaching this spot.

Make sure to bundle up when you head out this morning. The new work week gets off to “a freezing start,” according to the Capital Weather Gang. Things will warm up a bit as the day continues.
