Monitoring the Thursday A.M. commute: MARC issues, accident on U.S. 50 in MD

8:35 A.M. Update:

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 after the exit for Martin Luther King Jr. Highway is blocking the on- and off-ramps as well as the left merge lanes.

MARC Penn Line train 421 is now expected to run 20 to 30 minutes behind schedule due to signal issues.

8:05 A.M. Update:

An accident on westbound U.S. 50 after the exit for Martin Luther King Jr. Highway could cause delays there. No lane closures have been reported yet.

7:45 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line train 892 is running 30 minutes behind schedule due to the earlier signal issues.

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Avenue has been cleared.

7:25 A.M. Update:

MARC Camden Line train 840 is now running 10 to 12 minutes behind schedule.

7:20 A.M. Update:

The substance at Judiciary Square has been deemed non-hazardous and the F Street entrance has been reopened.

7:15 A.M. Update:

Judiciary Square update: The F Street entrance remains closed, while the 4th Street entrance is open and the station is open. Red Line service is not impacted.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The F Street entrance remains closed at the Judiciary Square Metro station due to a suspicious substance, according to Metro.

7:05 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line train 876 will make all stops this morning and run ahead of the delayed train 892.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Avenue could cause issues. No lane closures are reported yet, but watch for delays.

6:55 A.M. Update:

Judiciary Square update: Now the 4th Street entrance is open, while the F Street entrance is closed due to police activity, according to Metro.

6:40 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line trains 892 and 894 are expected to run 25 to 30 minutes behind schedule owing to a signal problem between the Monocacy and Dickerson stations. Again, Metro will honor MARC tickets.

The 4th Street entrance at the Judiciary Square Metro station is closed due to police activity, but the F Street entrance is still open.

6:25 A.M. Update:

The accident on River Road has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

Metrobuses on the 30, E and N routes are going to board at Wisconsin and Western avenues due to police activity at the Friendship Heights Metro station, according to Metro.

MARC Brunswick Line train 874 is running 10 minutes late.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

We’re in for a foggy, cloudy morning, with thundershowers likely later today, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Once again, bring your umbrella.

So far:

— An accident on River Road at the Beltway is blocking all westbound lanes as well as one of the eastbound lanes and one of the shoulder.

— MARC Brunswick Line train 872 is canceled this morning due to crew issues. The next train is train 874, and it will make additional stops. Metro will honor MARC tickets.

— MARC train 890 on the same line is running 30 minutes behind schedule due to signal issues.

— An accident on I-95 North after Dale City is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.
