Monitoring the A.M. commute: MARC delays

9:10 A.M. Update:

The westbound lanes of M Street SE are now open following an accident in the 800 block of M Street this morning. Eastbound traffic is being diverted onto northbound 7th Street SE.

9 A.M. Update:

The 800 block of M Street SE in D.C. is closed in both directions dur to an accident at 8th and M streets.

8:35 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line riders: Speed restrictions are again going to cause delays for trains heading to Washington. Expect delays of at least 8 to 10 minutes if you’re heading in that direction.

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before New Hampshire Avenue could cause delays there. No lane closures have been reported so far.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The earlier accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue has been cleared from the shoulder. Now, another accident on the outer loop before New Hampshire Avenue could cause additional delays.

8:05 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue is still blocking the shoulder, but the right lane and right merge lane have both reopened.

7:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue is still blocking one of the outer loop lanes and one of the shoulders. It’s also blocking the right outer loop merge lane.

7:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue is blocking one of the outer loop lanes and one of the shoulders.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway north of I-66 has been moved from the left lane to the left shoulder.

The disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway near the Dulles Toll Road has been cleared from the right shoulder.

7:30 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on westbound East Capitol Street at the Whitney Young Bridge was blocking the middle lane, but it has been cleared, according to police.

7:15 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway after Baltimore Avenue/U.S. 1 could cause delays there.

The disabled vehicle on I-270 South after Montrose Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

7:05 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway north of I-66 is blocking the left lane.

A disabled vehicle on I-270 South after Montrose Road was blocking one southbound lane, but it has been moved to the shoulder.

6:50 A.M. Update:

Beach Drive is closed due to the motorcycle accident at Joyce Road NW.

6:40 A.M. Update:

An accident involving a motorcycle has been reported at Beach Drive and Joyce Road NW, so watch out for traffic issues approaching that spot.

The debris on eastbound U.S. 50 after Martin Luther King Jr. Highway has been cleared.

6:25 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway near the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the right shoulder.

There’s debris on eastbound U.S. 50 after Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, so watch out for potential delays there.

6 A.M. Update:
