Monitoring the Thursday A.M. commute: U.S. 50 lanes reopen

8:30 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North at Glebe Road is blocking the left shoulder. Shortly after this accident, you start to encounter the delays leading to the 14th Street Bridge, so expect to slow down from Glebe Road on through the bridge.

8:20 A.M. Update:

All lanes have reopened on westbound U.S. 50 before Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue/MD 704

8:05 A.M. Update:

The debris on westbound U.S. 50 is still blocking two lanes before Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue/MD 704, so watch out for delays as you approach that spot.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The debris on westbound U.S. 50 is now blocking two lanes before Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue/MD 704.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Gallows Road is blocking the right shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 South just south of the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right shoulder there as well.

7:30 A.M. Update:

Debris on westbound U.S. 50 is blocking one lane before Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue/MD 704.

7:10 A.M. Update:

All lanes have reopened on Pennsylvania Avenue SE at DC-295. Delays should be easing, but you can expect them to linger for a while.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Gallows Road is blocking the right shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on westbound I-66 at the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder.

6:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on westbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE at DC-295 is blocking the left turn lanes to DC-295. Two westbound lanes are closed, and major delays are building on Pennsylvania Avenue.

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Annapolis Road could cause delays. No lanes are reported closed yet, but there could still be issues.

6:35 A.M. Update:

The debris on westbound U.S. 50 at the Beltway in Maryland has been cleared.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway after Braddock Road is blocking the left shoulder.

The disabled vehicle on I-66 West after the Beltway has been cleared from the shoulder.

The disabled vehicle on I-95’s reversible lanes in Woodbridge has also been cleared.

6:30 A.M. Update:

The DC-295 Northbound exit at Pennsylvania Avenue SE is closed, according to D.C. police. They recommend using outbound East Capitol Street to pass RFK Stadium to get to DC-295 or Minnesota Avenue.

There are also delays expected on the outbound Sousa Bridge, according to police.

It’s going to be a windy, chilly morning, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

So far:

— There's an accident on inbound/westbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE before DC-295, according to police.

— Some debris on westbound U.S. 50 at the Beltway in Maryland could cause delays.

— A disabled vehicle on I-66 West after the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder.

— There is also a disabled vehicle on I-95’s reversible lanes in Woodbridge.
