I-95 South reopened near Powder Mill Road

8:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-295 North at Suitland Parkway could cause severe issues there.

8:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 North before the Fairfax County Parkway is blocking the left shoulder.

And if you need to take I-95 South through Baltimore, watch out for major delays: An accident is blocking all southbound lanes after Caton Avenue/U.S. 1.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 South near Powder Mill Road has been cleared from the shoulder. Heavy delays remain.

A disabled vehicle in the 2400 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW is blocking one eastbound lane. Expect delays.

8:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on 20th and K streets in Northwest Washington is blocking northbound 20th Street. Avoid this area.

8 A.M. Update:

The accident on Kenilworth Avenue and Benning Road has been cleared and the on-ramp reopened.

7:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 South near Powder Mill Road has been fully cleared from the southbound lanes. One of the shoulders is still blocked, but all southbound lanes are open. Heavy delays remain, so expect issues heading this way.

7:40 A.M. Update:

An accident on northbound Kenilworth Avenue at Benning Road is blocking the northbound on-ramp to Kenilworth Avenue.

7:30 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 South near Powder Mill Road is still blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders. Two southbound lanes have reopened.

The accident at 18th and I (Eye) streets has cleared in Northwest Washington.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The 2200 block of F Street is now closed due to the sinkhole at 22nd and F Streets in Northwest Washington. Avoid this area, because traffic approaching the intersection will be very bad.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 South is blocking all southbound lanes near Powder Mill Road. Expect major issues and avoid I-95 South.

6:53 A.M. Update:

The 1700 block of P Street is closed in both directions. The D.C. Fire Department is on the scene to deal with carbon monoxide exposure.

6:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on Old Hundred Road/MD 109 is blocking it in both directions at I-270.

6:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on 18th and I (Eye) streets in Northwest Washington is blocking one lane on northbound 18th Street. Try to avoid this spot.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 North in Woodbridge is blocking the right shoulder.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at I-66 has been cleared.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Chain Bridge Road is blocking the right shoulder.

6:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at I-66 is blocking the right shoulder.

6:10 A.M. Update:

A sinkhole at 22nd and F streets in Northwest Washington is blocking northboun 22nd Street at F Street. Avoid the area.

Good morning, commuters! There could be some rain today, ranging from light showers to a heavier downpour, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Bring an umbrella and be prepared for rain later on in the day, just in case.
