Accident on I-395 South at Seminary Rd.

9 A.M. Update:

The accident on southbound Woodfield Road/MD 124 at Airpark Road is still blocking all southbound lanes. Avoid that area.

Debris on the inner loop of the Beltway at Cedar Lane could create delays there.

The accident on I-395 North at Seminary Road continues to block the left lane and shoulders.

8:55 A.M. Update:

Metro reports that normal service has resumed on the Orange and Blue lines at Federal Center, where an earlier switch problem created problems for eastbound trains. You should still watch out for lingering delays or congestion on trains.

Riders also reported serious headaches around Foggy Bottom after an earlier sick passenger created delays there.

8:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North at Seminary Road is blocking the left lane and both shoulders.

There are Orange and Blue Line delays now due to a sick customer at Foggy Bottom.

8:20 A.M. Update:

Delays linger on the Orange and Blue Lines due to the earlier signal problem at Federal Center.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 South before Powder Mill Road could create delays there.

8 A.M. Update:

The Orange and Blue Lines are experiencing delays due to New Carrollton and Largo, respectively, due to a signal problem at Federal Center.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on southbound Woodfield Road/MD 124 at Airpark Road is blocking all southbound lanes. Avoid that area.

The accident on I-66 East at Lee Jackson Highway/U.S. 50 has been cleared.

7:40 A.M. Update:

All MARC train service has resumed around Union Station, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. Train 408 left Washington about 9 minutes late as a result of the evacuation and train stoppage.

7:35 A.M. Update:

Reports from the scene indicate that the station is reopening.

7:30 A.M. Update:

Fire alarms are reportedly going off at Union Station. Several reports on Twitter indicate that people are being evacuated from the station.

Metro service is not affected by this, according to the transit agency.

MARC trains are still arriving at the station, but riders aren’t being allowed off of trains, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. And no MARC trains are leaving Union Station.

7:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North at Duke Street is blocking the right shoulder.

7:05 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Edsall Road is blocking the right shoulder.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on eastbound VA 7 near the ramp to VA 123 East is blocking the right shoulder.

The accident on I-66 East at Lee Jackson Highway/U.S. 50 is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

6:40 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-66 East at Lee Jackson Highway/U.S. 50 is blocking the left lane.

The accident on I-95 North before Woodbridge has been cleared from the left lane and is now just blocking the right shoulder.

The debris on the inner loop at Kenilworth Avenue has also been cleared.

6:20 A.M. Update:

Debris on the inner loop of the Beltway at Kenilworth Avenue could create some headaches.

An accident on I-95 North before Woodbridge is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help.
