Monitoring the Wednesday A.M. commute: Northbound Georgia Ave. blocked in Petworth

8:40 A.M. Update:

Northbound Georgia Avenue remains blocked between Allison and Webster streets NW due to an accident at Georgia Avenue and Allison Street NW.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road is blocking the left lane.

The disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Duke Street has been cleared and the right lane and right shoulder reopened.

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

Remember: MARC Penn Line train 421, departing Penn Station at 8:10 a.m., is going to run with one fewer cars this morning. As a result, the other cars could be overcrowded. If you normally take train 421, think about taking train 419 (7:40 a.m. departure from Penn Station) or train 523 (9:05 a.m. departure from Penn Station).

8:20 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South at Duke Street is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on eastbound I-66 after Centreville is blocking the left and right shoulders.

An accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

8:05 A.M. Update:

An accident on Georgia Aveune and Allison Street NW has closed northbound Georgia Avenue between Allison and Webster streets. D.C. police advise drivers to try using Iowa Avenue or 9th Street instead.

7:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-66 East at Sudley Road is blocking the right shoulder and could cause delays there.

I-395 North is a congested mess approaching the 14th Street Bridge.

7:30 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is very, very backed up approaching the Beltway right now.

7:15 A.M. Update:

The debris on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Colesville Road exit has been cleared.

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Boulevard has also been cleared and the right merge lane reopened.

7 A.M. Update:

There’s debris on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Colesville Road exit. No lanes are reported closed yet, but this could cause delays.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at University Boulevard is blocking the right merge lane.

6:40 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East before Sully Road in Centreville is blocking the right shoulder.

MARC Brunswick Line train 872 is now running 17 minutes late.

6:25 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line train 890 is running 10 to 12 minutes late, while Brunswick Line train 872 is running 11 minutes late.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

It’s still going to be cool out this morning, but not as cold as yesterday, according to the Capital Weather Gang. There’s a good chance of showers or thunderstorms later today.

So far:
