3:50 p.m. Update: The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close the inner loop of the Capital Beltway at the Springfield Interchange tonight from 9 p. m. until 5 a.m. The closures are scheduled nightly through Thursday. Plans also call for a closure Friday night from 9 p.m. to 7 a,.m.
Officials said detours will be in effect at Exit 170B that will add 15 to 20 minutes to trips. Crews are demolishing an old ramp, painting and completing new bridge work, they said.
3 p.m. Update: Northbound Telegraph Road is scheduled to close Monday night at 9 p.m. The closure, part of the last phase of work on the Wilson Bridge project, is expected to last until 5 a.m.
A detour will be in place. Drivers should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to Eisenhower eastbound ,to the traffic circle, to Holland Lane, to Duke Street. Ramps from the Beltway to northbound Telegraph Road will also be closed.
8:35 A.M. Update:
The 1300 block of Harvard Street NW remains closed in Columbia Heights due to police activity. Expect delays approaching the area and try using Columbia Road instead.
A young pedestrian was struck on Stanton Road and Alabama Avenue SE.
West Church Road is closed near West Holly Avenue in Sterling due to an accident.
8:20 A.M. Update:
The 1300 block of Harvard Street NW is blocked due to police activity. Try using Columbia Road instead.
The accident on the Dulles Greenway/VA 267 near the Loudoun County Parkway has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

A disabled vehicle on the eastbound Leesburg Pike near the ramp to I-66 is blocking the right shoulder.

We’re in for an absolutely lovely day, weather-wise, according to the Capital Weather Gang. It’s going to be sunny and a bit windy, with temperatures likely rising from the 40s to the 60s. There will be some showers later.
Remember, because clocks sprang forward early Sunday morning, the sun will be rising an hour later this morning. Since commuters may have lost an hour of sleep, be careful and watch out for drowsy drivers when you’re out on the road today.
