Outer loop delayed in Maryland and Virginia

8:35 A.M. Update:

The outer loop of the Beltway is still pretty congested near University Boulevard. It’s not as bad as it was a short time ago, but it’s still very slow.

The outer loop is also once again backed up near Tysons Corner.

The accident on the outer loop near the exit for Connecticut Avenue has been cleared.

I-66 East remains backed up at Chain Bridge Road.

8:10 A.M. Update:

The outer loop of the Beltway is very, very slow near University Boulevard.

There’s also an accident on the outer loop near the exit for Connecticut Avenue that could cause traffic problems.

7:50 A.M. Update:

The inner loop of the Beltway is pretty backed up at I-66 right now.

Traffic is starting to slow down on I-270 South at Montgomery Avenue.

7:30 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is still very congested around the Springfield Interchange, Lorton Road and approaching Woodbridge.

7:10 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is backed up around King Street, while the inner loop of the Beltway is slow near Gallows Road.

6:50 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is pretty jammed up around the Springfield Interchange, Lorton Road and approaching Woodbridge.

6:30 A.M. Update:

The I-66 East lane has reopened at Chain Bridge Road, but there are some heavy backups for eastbound traffic approaching this spot.

Good morning, commuters! There’s a chance of showers and storms this morning, according to the Capital Weather Gang. As always, that could mean wet roads, which in turn could cause delays. We’ll be keeping tabs on any headaches, issues or problems we hear about on the roads this morning. So far:

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East at Chain Bridge Road is blocking the right lane.
