Pennsylvania Ave. closed for race

WASHINGTON — Police in Washington are advising of road closures because of a road race that cuts through downtown.

Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between 12th and 14th streets, will be closed starting at 5 a.m. Saturday, along with 13th Street NW, between Pennsylvania Avenue and E Street.

The closures are for The Race to Stop the Silence 8K.

There’ll be additional closures starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Pennsylvania and Constitution avenue area of downtown. Drivers in the area may face delays.

Police say all streets are scheduled to reopen by noon.
