Porter Airlines to fly between Toronto and Dulles

It’s about to get a little easier to travel between Washington and Toronto. Porter Airlines, a Toronto-based regional carrier, will begin service between Toronto and Dulles International Airport next month.

The carrier had previously said that there would be three round-trip flights per day between Dulles and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport beginning on April 16. The airline announced Monday that they were adding a fourth daily round-trip flight to the schedule on May 14.

The initial flights beginning next month are scheduled to depart Toronto for Dulles at 7 a.m., 1:55 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Flights heading from Dulles to Toronto will leave at 9:15 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. Beginning on May 14, flights departing Toronto at 11:20 a.m. and leaving Dulles at 1:45 p.m. join the schedule.

Dulles becomes Porter’s sixth U.S. destination. The carrier, which was founded in 2006, currently offers flights to Newark, Chicago’s Midway airport and Boston’s Logan airport as well as seasonal flights to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Burlington, Vt.

Reservations can be made online at FlyPorter.com.
