Potential storms could slow A.M. commute

8:35 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on westbound U.S. 50 at Landover Road is blocking one westbound lane.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South between Glebe Road and King Street is still blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-270 South has been cleared and the lane reopened.

There’s a disabled vehicle on westbound U.S. 50 at Landover Road, but it’s not clear right now if any lanes are blocked.

8:05 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-270 South before Shady Grove Road is blocking one southbound local lane.

7:50 A.M. Update:

Traffic has eased a bit on I-95 North approaching the Springfield Interchange.

The inner loop is snarled around I-66.

I-395 North is jammed up approaching the 14th Street Bridge.

7:25 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South between Glebe Road and King Street is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on the shoulder of the inner loop at Gallows Road has been cleared, but delays remain approaching this spot.

I-66 East is also backed up at Sudley Road.

6:50 A.M. Update:

The inner loop of the Beltway is slow around Gallows Road. There’s a disabled vehicle at this spot on the right shoulder, which might help slow traffic down.

6:30 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is jammed up just south of the Springfield Interchange and approaching Woodbridge right now.

A flash flood watch is in effect from 10 a.m. this morning through the evening.

Good morning, commuters! We’re in for another day of potential showers and thunderstorms, according to the Capital Weather Gang . Flood warnings and coastal flood warnings are in effect in the region.

Stormy weather could cause problems if the skies open up during the morning commute. Add extra time to your commute and make sure to bring and umbrella.
