Power restored at Foggy Bottom Station

4:25 p.m. Update: Metro reports that power has been restored using generators.

Original post: High water and flooding in the vicinity of Foggy Bottom Station are interfering with Pepco’s ability to deliver power to the Metro stop, according to officials from the transit authority.

The outage is affecting station lighting, elevators, escalators and fare gates, officials said. However, riders are able to access the station due to backup lighting and trains continue to service the station.

Metro also was establishing shuttle-bus service.
