Public hearings scheduled for new ICC bus routes

Three new proposed Commuter Bus routes are scheduled to begin running on the Intercounty Connector beginning Jan. 3, 2012. Members of the public will have a chance to comment on these routes at a series of hearings scheduled over the next two weeks.

The proposed routes (203, 204 and 205) will connect riders from Columbia to the Medical Center Metro station in Bethesda, from the Monocacy MARC Station to the College Park Metro/MARC station and from College Park to the Germantown Transit Center.

The public hearings are scheduled for:

• Monday, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Location: College Park City Hall, Council Chambers Second Floor, 4500 Knox Rd., College Park.

• Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Location: Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia.

• Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Location: Activity Center at Bohrer Park, Summit Hall Farm, Room A, 506 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg.
