Maryland Department of Transportation, will host a public meeting on Thursday evening to discuss the Metrobus Y Line Study aimed at improving bus service on Georgia Avenue.

At the meeting, members of the public can look over the recommended improvements to Metrobus routes Y5, Y7, Y8 and Y9 and give their feedback to members of the team making these recommendations.

The meeting will be held at Hughes United Methodist Church (10700 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring) on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. This is just over a half-mile south of the Wheaton Metro station.

This will be an open house event, so there will be no formal presentation. You can arrive at any time between 6 and 8 p.m. and talk to the team members at your leisure.

There will be a Spanish translator as well as materials in Spanish at the event.

This is the second of two public meetings on the Metrobus Y Line study. The first one was held last May in Wheaton.
