Original Post:

Good morning, commuters! After a string of cold days, temperatures are going to climb to the 50s today, according to the Capital Weather Gang. But showers this morning and into the middle of the day could slow your commute, causing delays and lengthening trips.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

So far:

— An accident is blocking northbound New Jersey Avenue at H Street NW. One lane on westbound H Street is also blocked.

— A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway near the G.W. Parkway is blocking the right shoulder.

— Crews are working to repair 12-inch water main break on U Street between 13th and 14th streets NW. While this could interrupt the water service in the area, it shouldn’t impact traffic. They expect repairs to be done later this morning.

— VRE riders: The elevator at Rippon is out of service right now.
