Red Line trains are seeing delays Monday morning after the Dupont Circle station had to close twice during rush hour.
Two separate incidents — a brake problem on one train at 8:30 a.m. and a disabled train less than an hour later — forced Metro to close the station and off-load passengers, according to officials.
Metro is reporting that as a result of the earlier train problems, there is severe crowding on the Dupont Circle Station platform.
Some Red Line trains had to bypass the station, but Metro officials say Dupont Circle station is now open.
