Service changes for four Arlington Transit routes

Change is coming to four Arlington Transit routes beginning Monday, April 16. The alterations include scheduling tweaks and the elimination of one bus stop. Here are the tweaks coming to ART Routes 42, 52, 75 and 77 :

• ART 42: Additional times are being added to Route 42’s weekday schedule. The main change: The bus will no longer travel North Highland Street in Clarendon, but will use North Garfield Street instead. This will eliminate the stop at North Highland and 11th streets. The Saturday schedule won’t change. Here’s the new schedule.

• ART 52: There will be minor timing adjustments to better correspond to the bell schedule of Yorktown High School Here’s the new schedule.

• ART 75: There will be additional service during the middle of the day and in the evenings. Buses will run throughout weekdays until after 10 p.m. And the schedule will also better coincide with Wakefield High School’s bell schedule. Here’s the new schedule.

• ART 77: Saturday service will be added to this bus’s schedule running from 7 a.m. to 11:54 p.m. (to better help people get to Shirlington). This bus will also no longer head down North Highland Street in Clarendon, instead heading to North Garfield Street. Again, this eliminates the stop at North Highland and 11th streets. There will also be minor tweaks to the weekday schedule. Here’s the new schedule.
