Southbound Georgia Ave. blocked between Randolph Rd. and Arcola Ave.

Prepare for brutal heat | Dr. Gridlock’s tips for traveling in this weather

8:45 A.M. Update:

Southbound lanes on Georgia Avenue/MD 97 are still closed between Randolph Road and Arcola Avenue in Wheaton-Glenmont due to a water main break.

The accident on eastbound I-66 at Sully Road is now just blocking the left shoulder.

I-395 North is jammed up at the 14th Street Bridge, while I-66 East is pretty backed up at the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge.

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders at Ritchie Marlboro Road.

8:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on eastbound I-66 at Sully Road is blocking the left lane, left center lane and left shoulder. Expect big problems approaching this spot in Centreville.

8 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is very, very backed up approaching the Beltway.

7:40 A.M. Update:

Southbound lanes on Georgia Avenue/MD 97 are still closed between Randolph Road and Arcola Avenue in Wheaton-Glenmont due to a water main break.

Delays have worsened on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

7:20 A.M. Update:

Some delays are popping up on I-395 North (at the 14th Street Bridge, King Street and Duke Street). Expect those to worsen as the morning continues.

The inner loop of the Beltway is congested approaching Gallows Road.

7 A.M. Update:

The southbound Harbor Tunnel has reopened in Baltimore.

In Virginia, there are major delays on eastbound I-66 approaching the Beltway.

6:45 A.M. Update:

Travelers heading through Baltimore, avoid the southbound Harbor Tunnel. There’s a disabled vehicle blocking the southbound lanes. Take I-95 South instead.

6:25 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is already pretty backed up at Sully Road in Centreville. Expect to encounter delays if you’re taking that roadway.

Southbound lanes on Georgia Avenue/MD 97 are still closed between Randolph Road and Arcola Avenue in Wheaton-Glenmont due to a water main break. The northbound lanes reopened on Wednesday morning, but southbound lanes remain blocked and could cause some serious delays this morning.
