Train strikes person outside Washington

A train has struck a person outside of Washington, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. As a result at least one Maryland Area Regional Commuter Train (MARC 855 on the Camden Line) is holding.

The MTA did not provide immediate information on what type of train was involved or the condition of the person.

The Camden Line connects Washington and Baltimore and is operated by CSX on CSX-owned tracks.

According to Prince George’s EMS offcials, units were responding to the accident near the 5000 block of Baltimore Avenue in Hyattsville.
