Tysons Boulevard closed this weekend

[This post has been updated]

Tysons Boulevard will be closed between Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Galleria Drive overnight Friday and Saturday as crews continue work on Metrorail’s Silver Line extension.

The turn lanes onto Tysons Boulevard from Chain Bridge Road and from Galleria Drive also will be closed. The lane closings should start at 11 p.m. and continue to about 9 a.m. (Officials revised this from earlier plans when closures were planned to end at 5 a .m.)

Officials said operations will include work on the overheard bridge, pier and stations near what has been called the Tysons Central 123 station (The name, subject to final approval by Metro, is expected to become Tysons Corner station).
