Weather delaying flights in the region

8:33 A.M. Update:

Flights departing National are now delays between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes, according to the FAA. Arriving flights are still delayed between 15 minutes or less.

At Dulles, departing flights are still delayed between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes, according to the FAA. And arriving flights are also still delayed between 31 and 45 minutes.

Flights departing Dulles are now delays between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes, according to the FAA. Arriving flights are still delayed between 31 and 45 minutes.

7:30 A.M. Update:

There are major delays being reported at Newark Liberty International Airport and LaGuardia Airport as well as delays for flights in Philadelphia.

Baltimore Washington Airport is also experiencing the same delays for flights heading to Philadelphia.

7:20 A.M. Update:

The FAA is reporting departure delays at Dulles of between 46 minutes and an hour, and those are increasing. Flights departing National are now experiencing delays of between 30 and 45 minutes.

Stormy weather in the region is already causing problems for people flying this morning, delaying flights in and out of area airports.

Washington Dulles International Airport is seeing the biggest problems right now. There’s a traffic management program affecting flights landing at Dulles, according to the FAA. To see if your flight is affected, the FAA recommends you visit this map, select your departure airport and check “Delays by Destination.”

Both Dulles and Washington National Airport are reporting that flights heading to Philadelphia are experiencing weather delays of more than an hour.

Arriving flights at Dulles are experiencing delays of between 30 and 45 minutes, up from 16 to 30 minutes a short time ago, and that number is increasing.

At National Airport, arriving flights are being delayed 15 minutes or less. Departing flights are being delayed between 16 and 30 minutes, and like at Dulles, that number is rising.
