I-95 North has partially reopened in Stafford County, according to the Virginia State Police. The right two lanes were open again as of 5:30 a.m.
Northbound I-95 is closed in Stafford County following a tractor trailer crash on Tuesday night.
Traffic is being detoured off the northbound lanes at mile marker 136 and guided back on at the Courthouse Road exit, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller. She warned that people heading north on I-95 through this area should expect major traffic delays.
The accident, which involved at least two vehicles, occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, she said. Two people were taken to nearby hospitals. The tractor trailer jackknifed across the northbound lanes, and crews are on the scene cleaning up the diesel fuel that spilled out from the vehicle.
