Expect Orange Line delays

Expect delays on the Orange Line heading to New Carrollton due to an earlier train malfunction at Deanwood.

Chain Bridge crash cleared

The crash on the inbound Chain Bridge has been cleared and both lanes are open again, police report.

An accident on I-395 North after Glebe Road is blocking the right shoulder. There’s already heavy congestion approaching this spot, but drivers slowing down as they pass the accident could add to delays.

An accident on the inbound Chain Bridge is blocking the right lane, according to the D.C. police. Stay to the left and expect delays.

MARC delays

MARC Brunswick Line train 874 is now 40 minutes late approaching Gaithersburg. Train 892 is 39 minutes late, while train 876 is 13 minutes behind schedule.

And now there’s another crash on the outer loop in Maryland. This one is after the New Hampshire Avenue exit; no lane closures have been reported yet, but watch for delays.

MARC train 892, which was originally scheduled to depart Frederick at 6:10 a.m. but was delayed by a mechanical problem, left that station 25 minutes late.

MARC train delayed again

And now MARC train 892, scheduled to depart Frederick at 6:10 a.m., is going to leave 15 to 20 minutes late due to the mechanical problem.

MARC train 892, originally scheduled to depart Frederick at 6:10 a.m., is going to leave 10 to 15 minutes late due to a mechanical problem. 

MARC train delayed

MARC Brunswick Line train 874, which was briefly stopped west of Duffields with a mechanical problem, is now moving. It’s running about 20 minutes late.

All of MARC’s Brunswick Line trains are going to be delayed by 15 to 25 minutes due to a signal problem west of Point of Rocks. 

Potential MARC crowding

MARC trains 878 and 409 are both going to have one fewer cars than normal. Expect overcrowding on the remaining cars on both trains.
