Fire breaks out on JetBlue flight to BWI

November 21, 2012

A JetBlue flight had a small engine fire upon arriving at Baltimore-Washington International Marshall Airport

JetBlue flight 1329, which departed Boston at 10:10 a.m., arrived at BWI shortly before 11:30 a.m. A small fire broke out in the tailpipe as the plane was taxiing to its gate, according to the airline.

The airport’s fire department responded and put out the fire with foam. Riders left the plane without incident and there were no injuries, said BWI spokesman Jonathan Dean.

The situation didn’t create any other delays or affect any other BWI flights on the busy pre-Thanksgiving travel day, Dean said.
