Northbound Route 355 reopens hours after six-car accident

Montgomery County Police announced late Friday afternoon that  Route 355/Rockville Pike had been reopened after a late-morning crash involving six cars shut down a stretch of the road for several hours.

The accident occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. near Templeton Place, authorities said.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue reported four serious injuries — none of them life-threatening — and two minor injuries. One person was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, authorities said.
