Express Connector bus service begins in Fairfax County

Fairfax County’s Express Connector buses began operating Monday morning.

The first bus in the new rush-hour service, which connects Burke and various destinations in Tysons Corner, departed from the Burke VRE station at 5:35 a.m. NBC4 reported that there were no commuters on that bus.

Buses from Burke will run from 5:35 a.m. to 9 a.m., while buses will run from Tysons Corner Center back to Burke from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The one-way fare is $3.65 using a SmarTrip card or $4 in cash, but the trips will be free through Jan. 25.
