Beltway’s inner loop in Prince George’s County open following crash

Update, 6:03 a.m.:

All lanes of the inner loop of the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County have reopened following an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer.

Original post, 5:51 a.m.:

The two right lanes of the inner loop remain closed in Prince George’s County after a tractor-trailer overturned on the Beltway overnight.

All lanes of the inner loop before Route 450/Annapolis Road in the New Carrolton area of the county were initially closed, but the two left lanes are now getting by.

The accident has been cleared from the roadway and all lanes are expected to be open soon.

No information about the cause of the crash has been released. The man driving the tractor-trailer was critically injured, authorities said, but no other injuries were reported.
