Metro board approves Greenbelt land deal involving FBI

February 28, 2013

Metro’s board of directors on Thursday approved changing a deal that allows Renard, a developer, to exercise rights to work with Prince George’s County to compete for the FBI headquarters, which is planning to move out of downtown Washington, D.C.

Another site in Springfield, near the Franconia-Springfield Metro station, is also in play.

The board also approved adding a new entrance at the Medical Center station. The project would include a walkway under Rockville Pike and is meant to help with more riders coming to the Bethesda National Naval Medical Center as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) projects.
