Snowstorm updates: Metro, VRE and MARC status

As snow begins coating the Washington area, travel could become extremely trickly throughout the area. We have a  liveblog keeping tabs on the latest snowstorm updates; here are a few major things travelers should know:

Metro began the day with normal weekday rail service and some Metrobus cancellations. MetroAccess is canceled. Metro service could be reduced as the day continues, so stick with Dr. Gridlock for the latest.

— VRE has suspended service.

— MARC Brunswick Line service is suspended. Camden Line trains are running on a limited “S” schedule. No announced Penn Line changes.
