All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Beltsville have reopened following a fatal crash Wednesday morning, Maryland State Police confirmed.

Original, 5:50 a.m.

Three of four lanes of southbound I-95 in Beltsville were blocked Wednesday morning after a fatal crash near the exit to the Inter-County Connector, Maryland State Police said.

Sgt. Jonathan Hill said only the right lane is getting by starting north of the ICC, and advised commuters heading toward Washington on I-95 to take alternate routes.

The closure will last at least until 7:45 a.m., and possibly through the morning rush, Hill said. Motorists can access I-95 via Route 212, south of the accident site.

No details of the 3:20 a.m. fatal crash were immediately available.
