TSA has an app for that

Labor Day weekend air travel is expected to jump by nearly 3 percent this year, according to the annual travel forecast released by the AAA.

As my colleague Ashley Halsey III reported, the annual survey found that 811,500 people say they plan to travel this weekend, a 2.6 percent increase over the number who went somewhere last Labor Day weekend.

AAA officials say the increase may be a sign the economy is on the rebound.

To ease the way for those traveling by air, the Transportation Security Administration has an app — http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/my-tsa-mobile-application — that offers information on which airports are experiencing delays and even gives travelers a chance to offer feedback via e-mail or phone to TSA’s Contact Center.

Happy travels.
