House wants to sell you waterways legislation on YouTube

We need to ask you to hold that yawn for a second as the House rolls out the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013 this afternoon.

The proposal, which will have a competing bill from the Senate, is all about maintaining ports and waterways, and controlling floods. It’s a biggie, but not the sort of stuff that much excites the average American. So, in a nod to modern times, Transportation Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) has produced a cute video that’s posted on YouTube. “You’re probably thinking that can’t apply to me,” Shuster says. But it does.
