Authorities said the northbound and southbound lanes of the George Washington Parkway are closed at Wellington Road in the Fort Hunt area of Fairfax County.

The lanes are closed because of an accident that involved two cars.

It is not known at this time when the roads will reopen. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
