One lane still closed on I-95 South in Dale City, Va.

Two lanes of Interstate 95 south near Dale City are now open but the center lane remains closed, as authorities deal with the clean-up of an earlier accident.

The highway’s left and right lanes are open. The center lane is expected to open within the next 30 minutes, according to Virginia State Police.

Original 5:22 a.m.

All three southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Dale City, Va. are closed Monday morning because of an accident involving a tractor-trailer.

Police said they expect the roadway to be closed for several more hours as clean-up crews arrive on the scene.

The accident involved a tractor-trailer hitting a jersey barrier wall around 2:30 a.m.

Traffic is being redirected onto local service roads. Police advised drivers to use alternative routes if possible.
