This weekend’s track work plan keeps all stations open, but many riders will encounter longer than normal gaps between trains.
Here’s the line-by-line schedule, for 10 p.m. Friday through Metrorail’s midnight closing on Sunday.
Red Line. Workers will replace fencing and install a light pole between NoMa-Gallaudet and Rhode Island Avenue. Throughout the weekend, trains will leave the ends of the line and Shady Grove every 16 minutes. But between Shady Grove and Union Station, more trains will be in service from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. In that zone, trains should arrive every eight to 10 minutes.
Orange Line. Crews will continue working on the platforms at Minnesota Avenue and Deanwood. Trains will operate every 20 minutes all along the line.
Blue Line. Crews will be working on the tracks between Pentagon City and Reagan National Airport. Trains will operate every 20 minutes.
Yellow Line. Same work as on the Blue Line. Yellow Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square. To continue farther north from Mount Vernon Square, wait on the same platform for a Green Line train.
Green Line. Metro will be working on the test program for the new 7000 series rail cars. Trains will operate every 20 minutes.
