Metro said riders on its busy Red Line should expect delays in both directions Thursday morning.

The delays are the result of a switch problem at the Fort Totten station.

Metro has had several problems over the last few weeks in running its trains and buses on time. Metro officials said the extreme cold weather is to blame for some of the operational difficulties.
