This post has been corrected and updated.

Officials at the Virginia Department of Transportation are doing their best to make your commute a little less stressful. VDOT this week announced it has added new features to its 511 mobile app and Web site that will offer information about travel times in HOV versus regular lanes on the Betlway I-95 corridor.

The new features also include:

  • The location of park-and-ride lots, the number of spaces at each lot and by what time the lots are typically filled.
  • The schedule and bus stops for PRTC buses
  • Real-time travel information for VRE routes
  • Whether the HOV lanes are open to traffic or closed

The additions are part of an effort to ease congestion in the I-95/395 corridor during construction of the 95 Express Lanes.
