Metro said normal service has resumed on the Red Line after an earlier incident where a passenger aboard a train had a seizure.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said the person who experienced a seizure aboard a Red Line train earlier Thursday morning was transported to a local hospital and was “conscious and breathing when transported off the system.”

Metro said a passenger experienced a seizure Thursday morning aboard a Red Line train at the Medical Center station.
Medical personnel responded and helped the rider off the train, according to Metro spokesman Dan Stessel. The condition of the person was not immediately known.
Stessel said “only two or three trains” were sharing a track for about 10 minutes. He said “delays were not severe.”

Trains are no longer sharing a track on Metro’s Red Line.
There are still residual delays along the busy line due to an earlier issue where a customer became sick aboard a train at the Medical Center stop.
